If you know me, you know that I love eBay, specifically, I love to sell things on eBay. I've also always got a kick out investigating really weird listings on eBay. For example, it's illegal to sell lockpicking devices on eBay but every now and then you will see one. Occasionally you will see things such as "my dirty socks" or "my cheating husband's apology letter." Then, of course, there is the whole "mystery auction" genre, and then the narrative auctions. It's pretty crazy. So, I came up with an idea I've been keeping this project somewhat of a secret for some time because I never actually thought I would do it, but I've really done it. Do you want to know what it is?
First let me say that while I know this is a cheesy thing to do, I would appreciate it if you would show your friends this. I'd really like to build a customer base. Okay, here it is:
In an attempt to not only deny myself authorship of my own ideas and at the same time try to maintain control of that authorship, I've decided to sell some of my art ideas on eBay. These ideas are, for the most part, ideas that I have considered using in my own creative explorations and that are somewhat pertinent to the work I'm doing. Now, you can own my idea AND have the right to execute the idea if you choose. I have prepared 30 auctions and will be listing a new one every couple days. If you are interested in seeing these, and potentially buying an idea, I have included a link to my first one. If you have an eBay account you should add me to your favorite sellers list and then check back every couple days. Like I said, I have 30 lined up, but I would really like to turn this into one of "my big things I do." I am actually quite serious about this.

Ha - funny you should list the "Absolutely Nothing" auction. I have been collecting various "nothings" from ebay for a while...from literally nothing to empty boxes/envelopes.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for writing. I am teaching the class "Participation Art" at University of Houston, and the blog is the result of activities the class is assigned or self-generates. Please tell Harrell I send him a big hug from Houston.
From your sister ship in Texas,
Andrea Grover
